D16y7 and D16y8

I know that y7 is non-Vtec and y8 is Vtec. So obviously they have different cams, but Are the head ports for the header and intake manifold the same between the two engines? And if so, shouldn't turbo kits for the y8 but applicable for the y7 also.

i think that the ports are the same, i know that the greddy kit will bolt up and the edelbrock will bolt up too you might have to do some different wiring for the fuel management though.

only difference is the head, so the block and ports would be the same, for the intake mani im not quite sure.

intake manifold is vertical and the Y8 is horizontal....so you would have to modify the intake pipe. You might have some other issues as well with fuel managment.
