plugs wont give u an extra 15hp on d16 will it?

can u feel a diff w/ intake + full exhaust inlcuding headers?

by diff i mean the acceleration. the d16s are really lackin

i have a 99 dx (d16y7)

intake

catback
highflow cat

i am going to do a mini me swap soon.
you can do anything you want to the d-series it just has less potential.

less potential = less aftermarket parts

true potential is still there. its just all about whether you have the ballz to do it.

I have heard of some really fast sohc motors before. But I dont think I wanna build up a motor when I can just swap it for something better.

Chances are I'll change my mind down the road and do a mini-me swap and turbo but all depends on tax time

i have a 99 dx, and it came with the oh so slow d16y7 i hate this motor... but you know what it keeps my pockets full of cash... no speeding... lol d16y7 is a good motor, it's just a bit slow. i have a cai and it runs better but i am thinkin of go for the full header out and free flow cat. maybe some fart can muff, some guy told me he can work on my heads and get me some 30hp... but who knows, he might but that cost alot for only 30hp...

ya, i say stick with it.

might have been better with a B series. But i'd be happy with just intake, headers, cams + gears, custom 2.25 piping exhaust and alittle 50...maybe 75 shot. Wont be that bad....i think. Does the y7 even have these parts available? the cams might be a hard find....but i'm sure gude or skunk's got something for ya. then just leave it and save up for a evo8....but that's just me.

edit: can this make it to atleast the 14's?

Swap in a d16y8, and then get the edelbrock turbo kit. Atleast thats what im doin. You should be able to kick any b-series engine after that (maybe not the b18c5), and it will probaly cost just as much as a swap.
