just need to know if it is even possible to do so. I know it is retarded to do this just need to get my car running till my secondary motor is built

Yeah you can deffinately do that, you just won't plug up vtec, and I think you need to use the y8 cam gear on the y7 head because the timing marks in the y8 block are set up for it. Not sure, but keep it on hand if your having problems getting your timing dialed in.

Also run the y 7 injectors and ecu, the y8 injectors run rich when mated to an n/a y7 head. Since displacement is the same he y7 e u is right where you want to be in terms of fuel maps for the Air flow the y7 provides.

you can do it, but with everything that goes into it why not just buy a y8 head around me at least there are a million laying around and can be picked up for next to nothing.
