Have a 99 ex coupe 5 speed with 212K miles. Well it just started ticking other day then within twenty miles it was knonking too hard for me so i parked it, well got buddy to tow it to his house sowent toget it the next day and decided to just drive it home so it was still knocking but sounds like coming from top left side of motor behind left side of valve cover. and its not losing oil or water, but while driving it home after say ten miles it made a awful winding sound kicked itself out of 4th gear and went dead. i was still rolling and put it back in 4th to jump it off popped the clutch and it just bogged it down wouldn't start back up. so pulled it over. tried cranking it and spun over but with a strain triedagain and strained harder then just clicked now just clicks . so lost on where to begin to start fixin it.

You said its not loosing any fluids but does it have oil in it? Were you throwing any CEL codes? The not starting part is where you should start in my opinion cant trouble shoot much else if it wont start.. check for spark...make sure fuel pump is priming..i would also test your alternator....when it tried to start with strain did it sound like it was grinding? check your starter..and so on...

yes had oil in it. and no grinding when attemptting to start

check your timing belt too, could have jumped a bunch of teeth or sheared the belt
