D16y8 Question.

I threw a rod not to long ago, so all im going to do is build the block and put my y8 head on it, what would be all the blocks that could match up, and line up perfect with my y8 head?

I believe all D series VTEC.

You could always do a Z6 block with Y8 head

^ this all d series vtec blocks will match up and the non vtec ones as well its the same pricnpal as people doing the mini me swaps with y7 bottem ends and y8 or z6 top end

It'll be easiest if you do VTEC to VTEC and the same OBD system.

i agree though there is less work if you keep the same obd system and use a bottom block made for vtec
but he asked for all the blocks in the original question thats why i said that

Get nother y8 or y7 block

from what i have read the hx d16y5 block is exactly the same as the y8 so maybe look into using that block then throwing your y8 crank in or leave it as is and throw the y8 head on

I know the y7 and y8 are very similar if not almost identical.
