I have a 00 civic ex wit a d16y8 non vtec n it redlines at 5500rpms... has anyone had this problem?? N how did u guys fixed it... any n all help appreciated thnx...

Post the CEL codes.

After you pull the CEL codes, write them down and then reset the ECU to see which ones return.

Huh the y8 doesnt have vtec thought the y7 didnt, this is news to me
