D16z6 issue

My d16 engine is blown and im not sure if i should just replace it. or swap out for a better engine? I was quoted 350 for labor and 600 for engine. can i do something better for 950-1200?

buy another d16 and do a high compression for daily driven. i'm in the process of this. spend less that dohc

you wont get anything better without upping the budget so itf you cant go over 1k or so stick with a d series.
