D16z6 on p2p ecu

So i have a 2000 honda civic ex but my motor went out so i bought a d16z6 and i was planing on puting the p2p ecu on it i know that its no the correct one but its only until i get the p28 would it work with that ecu or should i wait till i get the p28?

Your going to need to wait for the correct ecu, your also going to need an obd2b-obd1 ecu conversion harness since the motor and ecu are obd1

Not sure how it all works over there, but here in NY if you have an ODBII car and step down to an ODBI motor with correct ECU, you can't pass inspection due to failed emissions

Same here in cali, it's illegal to put an older motor in a newer car. So if you want a direct swap in a 2000 civic you can only put in a 2000 d16 swap or b16a1 b18b or b18c .
