reason i ask is because im looking for another car/truck for a daily. i drive my civic but i really hate doing all my running around in it. i put everything ive got into it and i garage it everynight so im kinda spoiled with it. my buddies b***h n cry at me cuz i worry about where i drive it and all that. so i wus just kinda curious on some'a your guys imputs / what you guys do cuz i know i cant be the only one out here that feels like this.

And i can agree with what you said about spoiling your Civic and having friends complain about how much attention it gets, I'm also very careful of where i drive/park my Civic simply because i know these things are stolen often if not taken care of.

i have a 0o civic lx that is my work car and then i have a 06 dodge ram 1500 thats my weekend vehicle and my ol lady drives it during the week..

Mine was my daily driver for the longest time. I had another car (my old car, 88 accord) that I would drive in bad weather (snow, hard rain, etc.) and keep the civic in the garage. But I drove the civic at least 320 days out of the year.

Anymore it's not my daily, it sits in my garage 320 days out of the year now I've got my Tacoma that i drive daily now.

1) civic is kinda the daily..i use it to commute to school 4 days a week

but yeah im tryn to find me a lil truck i can use as my daily now....for the longest time my civic was daily but i garage her as much as i can unless its summer time when i can jus cruuuuuz

its so much easier to fix em up and add parts if u dont have to worry about having it drivable to work on monday ya dig?

My Civic was my daily driver for five years. It no longer is.

Now I daily drive a '93 Accord.

The Civic gets to stay nice and safe and out of sight and I don't have to worry about it getting hit or bottoming out anywhere. I can put more money into the Civic now, plus I can have it down for a few days without worrying about how I'll get around. I can modify it in ways that before would have been uncomfortable or impossible if I need to be able to drive the car everywhere and in all conditions.

When i had my b16 turbo sedan i drove a 95 altima 5spd daily. got it in great condition for $800 Beat the s**t out of that car, Rolling backwords down hill then dumping the clutch, posi burnouts, ice drifting, hill climbing, mudding (while my friends 4x4's were stuck and i wasnt lol) And to this day its just as reliable and runs just as good as it ever did. I sold it to my dad, trying to buy it back. But i say get one for a daily.

My civic is my daily, only car I have. Makes modding interesting at times, like my upcoming clutch job.....

I am the same way though, I'm always paranoid about it and lock it and wont leave it in certain parts of the city and such. My friends have just gotten used to it, haha.

I DD a 70 Chevelle (my newest project). The civic sits in the garage with all the time and money i have in it i always worry about where im parking it ect. I drove the civic as a dd for about 5 years then it got a built motor and i dont want to have to worry about reliability and all that since go fast parts arent cheap

My hatch is my DD, but I only drive about 3 miles to work, and 3 miles back.
I also have my weekend car, 66 mustang coupe.
originally I started my mustang project, and when I bought the civic I wasn't going to mod it or anything as I wasn't really into civics, just wanted it for the gas mileage, so I bought the CX. than ran out of money for the mustang and realized civics were cheaper to mod, now I'm all about the hatch and my mustang sort of sits. Got it running good and what not but all my focus has really been the civic. Pisses my wife off cause she keeps thinking the civic was only supposed to be my plain DD, and my mustang the fun modded car. I keep telling her, "why can't my DD be fast and look good too while getting good gas mileage?"
But once my mustang is fully sealed and road safe(still has 44 year old suspension and brakes) than it'll be my DD for summer, and the civic will be the summer weekend car. Than it'll switch back for the rest of the year.

im looking for a new car. my eg8 is over 200k miles burns a quart of oil a week, is 2 different colors and has a huge exhaust leak by the header. and i drive it around 50 miles a day. lookin for a rex now.

only reason i dd my civic is because my wife drives the subaru right now and i dont drive my dodge because it only gets 6 miles to the gallon
