i got an Edelbrock kit today, opened the box and the intercooler mess is slighty dented in, its on the rear side of it. do you think it would be ok? problem being i had a shop import this from us to uk, so returning it could be a b***h.

It looks fine to me. Its probably gonna be easier to just deal with that dent then worry about the headache of getting it shipped back to the us etc...

That kinda stuff will happen regardless when its on teh car anyways, road debree etc.
Also you mentioned its on the back? So you woudltn see it anyways.

yea but when you pay 3k+ and then shipping i wouldn't just "deal" with it, i'd expect for it to be replaced, and wait untill i got it back to put it on

if you want to know if its bad, take it to a radiator shop in your area and they can do a pressure test, that will give you a definate answer

I'd be pist, I wouldn't just deal with it either. Shea's right, have someone do a pressuer test on it. If it's good then it's up to you if you want to get it replaced or not. My intercooler is pretty old and has no dings.

Ahh my HVAC knowledge comes into play on this site, FINALLY!!! Its the basic concept of a condensor or evaporator, looks like the fins are only damaged and they sell tools to fix that kind of stuff, should be no more then $10 at lowes or home depot

Thats nothing. After a year or two that intercooler is gonna be full of little dents anyways...you should see mine, not a straight fin in sight. If it bothers you that much, just flip it over so no one can see it.
