dash clock on a 98' coupe?

I've never seen one before, but I think it would be something nifty to try. there's that small panel about mid dash and I was thinking about running a power and ground through there. I'm either gonna make something with a fiberglass resin, or found a dash clock from something else at the junk yard. has anyone ever tackles this before? If so, chime in!

The JDM EJ8's have a dash clock in the small pocket next to the stock radio (usually 96-98 from what I know). You can get them off of eBay, but they're pricey.

I have a dash clock in my 98 hatch. The clock in my car is hooked up to my radio harness
