yesterday i pulled out the dash on my Del Sol and stuck a few of the #74 LED bulbs i bought of off superbrightled's into my gauge cluster and plugged it back in. The problem here is that none of the LED's lit up. Has anyone run into that problem of them fitting in there just fine but nothing happening.

Straight from their website:
"The 2 bulb types above are polarized so if you plug them in and they do not work, turn them around. These next 2 bulbs are non-polarized so they will work in polarity reversing marker light applications"
Same thing happened to me, just flip them around ;)

um lol you cant just put bulbs in the cluster and expect it to light up. first off, leds are alot dimmer and more directional than bulbs. second, your stock gauges have a painted color coat on the back. so at best you might see a few dim specs of light from those new leds.

*shakes head* Did you even read his post? He's wondering why his led's won't light up. True, they are a bit dimmer, and exactly the reason why the change to led's require that you add in a few more than regular bulbs. They also make narrow and wide angle led's depending on your application. As for a few dim specs of light, I guess I'm just hallucinating everytime my cluster lights up :smileyR:

and to tell the complete story.. LEDs are also (POTENTIALLY depending on the dimmer setting) MUCH brighter and more uniform in color when done correctly.. ;)
