Dash light keeps on turning off

So i have a dash with an altered light. Well i bought it that way. Anyways i have the problem were when i turn on my light the gauge lights wont turn on. My guest is that is a grounding issue but where would i check that. If anyone can provide a how to or any steps to check possible reasons why it wont turn on. I know its not the lightbulbs because sometimes they turn on for 15 minutes and then turn off.

sounds like it could be a ground issue.

There's a how to on this site, on taking out the gauge cluster.

I would remove the cluster and make sure the connections are good. One may have come loose.

put those cool leds in your bezal that shine on your gauges. lol

Check your dimmer switch as well. My dash lights like to flick on and off while driving, all I do is hit the dimmer switch and they flick back on. I wish I had time to run down to the junk yard.
