i drive a 98 civic ex, and i was driving back home when my dashlights went complely out! i dont know whats wrong, i looked at the fuse and it was blown, so of course i changed it, but everytime i turn my lights on it blows, i tried also a 10, 12,20,25,30 amp fuse just to see what it would do (besides fuses are cheap) and everysingle one of them blew. I do have a indiglow gauge face but its been in for like 2 or 3 months, so i 'm not sure what to do. It just feels weird to race and not even know how fast or more importantaly how high in rpm's i'm going in, and i'm tired of using my cell phone as a light source for the mean time. Any help guys?

Once none of my instrument lights worked at all and i found out later it was because of a blown dimmer switch. Doesnt seem the case for you since they work temporarily with a new fuse. Recheck your wiring on your indaglo guages, sounds like you have a short somewhere.

i've had it like this for not too long, but i'm tired of havin it like this, i really dont drive too much at night thats why it dont bother me much, but i'll check the wiring, maybe the ground or somethin is loose, i connected the glow gauges to the dimmer, so i'll check there, i'll tell ya what i find,

check all wires ,start off with anything you've just installed ..cd player, your indaglow, anything that might even have shed a bare wire. look carefully you might have a wire that worked itself loose and causing it to ground out...if you do find one wrap it with electro tape and change the fuse once more...ive had this happen to my dash lights cause of a bare wire from my cd player...

thats what i'm thinkin it is, cause if my indaglows burned out, i would still have some lights from the factory lights, so i'm gonna have to take it apart and check, really isnt that hard to do really, and if i cant find anything, then i'll just see if the indaglows are effecting it, if it is i'll probably just take it out anyway and try something else

i've heard of a couple cases where indiglos shorted and kept blowing fuses. both guys just took them off and were good.
