Ok just found this in another post..
irst you have to remove any of the peices you want painted. If you don't know how get a Helms manual.
Second when you have the peices out your going to want to wash them with soap and water to make sure there clean and that you got any residue off from any interior additives over the years.
Thirdly after the parts have dried you can scuff them up with some sand paper. Theres no need to put alot of pressure for this step.
Fourth wipe off any excess stuff left on the parts you are painting. After that you can lay a layer of primer. I perfer 2-3 but that is up to you.
Fifth after the primer has dried throughly, you can scuff it up with some sand paper. Now you don't have to do this but i always do this anyhow.
Sixth you can then start to paint. If you follow the directions on the can the job shall turn out fine. AND always remember light coats are always better then heavy. Now me i perfer about 3-4 layers of paint.
Seventh after the paint is dry you can clear coat. When the clear coat has dried just do the opposite of taking the peices out.
