Dashboard Light problem

Hey Guys,

I just bought a 92 EX and it had a problem with the speedo meter. so, I got a used cluster with a very resonable price. but I had a big problem with it.

- The cluster didn't have the RPM gauge on it and the light was very bad and it was wired with three connectors only.

- The new cluster have RPM gauge and all the info lights (oil, lights, seatbelt,.... etc) are working but the backlight isn't.

I got back to the dealer and he gave me another 2 connectors and he told me that this new gauge is working on 5 connectors not three, and if I connected them probably it will be working normally.

So, please if anybody can help me or can give me a diagram that I can follow, I'll be more than thankful.

i dont know wtf you are talking about, the clusters are plug and play . sounds like he sold you a shitty cluster.

as I said the new cluster have 5 connectors and the old one had 3 connectors only, so how the f*** it is plug and play ???

considering you location is egypt it may be different there, but what gary is refering to is that in the us all the clusters are interchangable plug and plays.
we do not know if there are any differences in the cars there from the cars here no way for us to know that.

perhaps if you posted a good photo of the back of the cluster, we might have a better idea.
