Well my HU died today, but not completely. It seems like just the preouts and the 4 chanels have died. Is there any kind of internal fuse or am i just SOL. Also what could have caused this problem before I go plugging in another HU?

there should be a fuse on the rear external of the deck and the wire harness plastic part may be blocking it

yeah, both preouts are dead as well as the speakers outs. No i dont unplug the fuse, I just unhook the whole unit with the key off. I havent messed with the HU in a long time, it just stopped working today driving down the road. The display is fine and so are all the buttons, just no sound

are you running any amps? if so, to what? subs or interiors or both?if your not running a amp to your interior speakers, you could have a blown speaker which is causing your radio's internal amp to shut off.

I am running a sub, and i moved it over to the Front preout just to test to see it it would work, but still nothing. A blown speaker will cause the amp to shut off? I will have to try swapping some speakers around

He took it to a local shop and its some piece inside of the HU they have to fix. i will try to get ahold of him to ask him what piece it was...............goodluck though with ur HU though

if a speaker is blown or grounding out it will cause the internal amp of the radio to shut down. disconnect all your speakers and test each one out.
