defrost air vent questions...

when i turn on my front window defrost i still get air out of the left front dash vent and not much air from the top defrost vents...

it sounds to me like a vent hatch isnt closing...

can anyone confirm or deny this? possible offer a solution?...i dont mind pulling sh*t apart...as long as i know where i am going...

My 99 coupe blows air out of the top defrost vents and the door side vents as well to defrost the side windows to. You can pull your vents out to look better in the ducts and then close and open the vent to see if it is fully closing. My heater controls are all electric operated were as the older civics are manaul operating.
