detachable ek9 steering wheel / fuel pump kill switch

A couple random questions:

1) I really like the ek9 steering wheel, cause it looks nice & cause it keeps the airbag. But, also I want the added security of a detachable steering wheel. I know this has been vaguely covered, but isn't there some way to make the CTR wheel detachable? I know people are going to say, each time you go to pop it off, the airbag will explode in your face because of SRS, but lets to brainstorm an idea? or someone present a fact to just totally shut me up on this idea.

2) As far as a fuel pump kill switch. I know you trace the wire that powers the fuel pump, but is it really as simple as cutting the wire and wiring each of the ends to the switch? no relays / grounds / fuses? Which end goes to which part of the switch?

airbag issue - no idea..

killswitch - use a relay. the pump will probably draw more current than most switches support..

a buddy of mine made a kill switch and he just used a regular walmart switch for it...worked fine....
