The car has been on the road for awhile now almost have 2000 miles on it since leaving the garage 4months ago:shock: but since leaving there have been changes. The exterior looks different then before but I will post pics once some of my toys come in.
On saturday I ventured back to my garage to play around and this is what I did. Oh and I found out my digi camera is taking a crap, so it looks like I will have to get a new one. THe flash won't work and pics come out blurry. But here is what I accomplished in one day.

Old EX cluster with white face gauges and red needles

New GSR Cluster with 4500 miles on it. Also changed the bulbs it lights up red. Next project is to get the heater controls to light up red also.

Old valve cover

New Valve cover Painted with duplicolor engine enamel gunmetal with clear coat

That is all for now, I will add pics as my other parts come in from UPS. Also I am going to do a DIY on the headlights to. To be continued.....

Are you leaving that gap around the cluster?

no I put the bezel back in, I need to go borrow my parents digi camera, my camera wouldn't take a good pic and I got fed up messing with it. But the bezel is back in. I will post updated pics when I get a different camera.

was the wiring hard on the cluster, i can get a gsr cluster for $40 but i just think it would be a wiring nightmare, and does it fit like the stock cluster? your car is piecing together nicely

the wiring is really easy, you just need the chart that explains which wires to move...it doesn't fit like the stock cluster, but it doesn't look bad in there....and when you tell people "yea, that cluster is from an integra" people are going to say "thats pretty sick" rather than "your cluster doesn't fit nice and snug in there"...plus i got my cluster for free and i didn't have a tach on the DX cluster

I like the white faced gauges but the GSR gauge swap is nice too, clean work on the engine

sweet thanks, was there no luck with the sale?
I had a few interest but a good friend offered money plus a stock oem bumpers for my kit that I couldn't refuse. Then I was able to get different headlights and some other stuff for a really good deal. Can't quite say what it is yet but I will post pics once stuff is ready to be shown. One thing that I won't have that I wish I did is different lowering springs. The Eibach's I have don't really lower the car like I would want. But that will have to wait. might be picking up a gsr bottom end soon if the dude ever gets back to me.

Plus I have no car payments. 4runner is paid for and so is the civic. I didn't really want to jump into another car payment just yet. Pay some things off, get a couple toys and then see where it goes from there.

Yeah I liked the look of the white face gauges. I left them un-hooked so they wouldn't be indiglo. I painted the needles red to give it the 5th gen jdm gauge look. However the rpm was off because of the b-series swap. The fuel cutoff (rev limiter) was reading 9k on that tach which people thought I was redlining at 9k  but I got a excellent deal on the gsr cluster for $60 and with low mileage. Even had the gsr harness connected to the back (a must for 5th gen owners to install a gsr cluster in their civic, which will be for sale soon). The gsr cluster lights up red and I like it better plus the needles light up to.

Shouldn't I used the duplicor engine enamel clear coat. Good up to 500 degrees or something like that. Its been since saturday and I have drove the car about 60-80 miles since then and seems to be holding up. Really shiney to almost looks like I powdercoated it.
