So yeah, I thought about this yesterday when riding in my sister's 99 Civic LX. As I was sitting in the back seat, I looked down and was like wait, wtf, she has OEM floormats and I dont (she has em in the front too)? Is my car missing something? or would for some reason the ex model of the same year ( 99 Civic EX ) not come with floormats? Last, but not least, should I get floormats? Im thinking just straight black no logo or anything.

You got jacked. You can get them from the honda dealership, I forget exactly how much they are though.

I have a 98 LX and have OEM floormats... and I have friends with Ex's and DX's with OEM floormats. Floormats like anything else cost more when you buy the car brand new, so many people dont get them ( i used to work at a nissan dealership and many cars came in without floormats). I say buy some plain black floormats off e-bay and you'll be set.

Just spend some extra money for nice oem floormats... I got some off ebay for about 70 bucks.

Both my '97 EX and my '98 EX came with OEM floormats. OEM mats ftw.

They can't be optional, I have a 92 DX that didn't come with s**t, but it came with mats

well 2 out of 4 ain't bad right? I need a new set.

actually, i'm pretty sure you couldnt be more wrong

i know that all 5th gens and i believe all 6th gens came without floor matts initially, and were added by either the dealership or the customer

but you're also speaking to the owner of a civic ex that came without a/c from the factory

Oh, and the floormats don't all say Honda on them either. The driver one has a Honda H, the passenger one has Honda and the rears don't say anything.
