dimmer switch 99 ex coupe

it seems my dimmer is giving me major problems. it works sometimes and others it doesnt so at night i cant see s**t, i mean i know my rpm's and what not but its just bothering the s**t out of me lol. does anyone know of a way to unwire the dimmer switch and rewire something so that my lights just work? just someway that i dont have a need for the dimmer dial but my cluster still illuminates

Know this is an old post, but I need help too.

Having the same issue on my 93 hatch si. It started flickering, then stopped working all together. Replaced it.
Started happening again. Let it go until it was out most of the time.
Replaced it again.
Now on the third switched and its starting again. I can figet w/ it till it comes back on (for a while).

Had 2 bulbs go out in the dash, one of the LEDs in the climate control went out, the other works sometimes.

Now my Speedo is bouncing around a lot, trying its best to keep speed, but it is now bouncing between 5 to 30 mph off.

IDK whats going on. Any having similar issues?

Pry the dimmer switch out of the dash and unplug it. In the free connector, use a jumper wire to short the red wire to the black wire. Do the lights now stay on all the time?

For the speedo problem, are any CEL codes thrown?
