Replaced D15 head with the D16Y8 head and was wondering can you use the D15 distributor with the D16 head? As of right now, I installed a D16Y8 distributor and the connection isn't the same.

I'm pretty new to this site and to Hondas but I've rebuilt a installed a clutch and replaced connecting rod bearings. I believe its because of this site and the ability to take direction. If you want help you need to include your vehicle info and all the details you can. Prior to this you should probably research first. I would start with
"can you use the D15 distributor with the D16 head? Im pretty sure you can in your case I'd like to hear what a more experienced person has to say. I'm thinking as long as it lines up with TDC and bolt pattern is the same I think so. Don't take my word but good luck. :thumbs up

Front what I read (sifting through the bullshit) is that the the d15 dizzy should bolt up fine and plug in fine. I believe it is only the z6 head that you will have to dremel the bolt holed a little. D15 dizzys are OBD1 I believe and a D16 is OBDII. Your distributor connectors are different? Post pocs
