i wouldnt say it would be louder - it would sound 100 times better if you did and would put less stress on your head unit.

Umm generally, most 4ch amps are going to push WAY more than 25W RMS (typical headunit output). So yes it will be louder. It may sound better, it may not, depends on what amp you buy really. Most HU now sound pretty damn good, when comparing them to amps, the THD is pretty damn close between the two.

Try it without first. If its not loud/clear enough, then get an amp. I think you'll be happy with it without an amp. Depends also on how big your BOOM is....

If you are running 4 speakers you should get a 4ch amp.

HOWEVER, if you have 4 2ohm speakers, and the amp can handle a 2 Ohm load, you can run them in parallel.....

AS far as amp recs.. umm Audiobahn, Alpine.. anything like that is fine, No Kmart/Walmart/Radio Shack amps though!

Good Luck!

holy s**t.....u have the EXACT same setup i have/getting. I have everything but the subs. How does it sound? Is it loud bass that people would complain about, or is it just simple bass to make the music sound better?

And for the doors/rear speakers. Unless ur doing the Type-R (forgot model #).....you dont need a amp. If you wanna run a amp to them, pay the extra $40 or w/e and get the R's......

buy an amp. i am runnin an alpine 4 channel for my front infiniti components and a 2 channel bridged for my sub, it sounds so much better, not to mention you have full control of the equalizer curve, so u have a much better control of the sound itself

Your sister's pinoeer probably has stronger pre-amp outputs than your alpine (possibly 4 volt compared to 2 volt). This is not really an issue, you just need to adjust the gain on the amp accordingly. Set the headunit to about 3/4 max volume. Raise the gain on the subwoofer amp until you begin to hear distortion.. then back the gain off a little bit until the point where the distortion goes away. If follow this same method for both cars, the output should be that same.

Also, realize that the car itself will have a huge effect on the overall response of the system (transfer function).
