do u need to keep factory seat belts in if u use harnesses?

im puttin my sparco harnesses in and am using a harness bar. but i was wondering if i needed to keep the factory belts for inspection?? i wanted to take em out if i didnt have to have em in.

seatbelts are not part of an inspection as far as i am concerned. plus i believe sparco harnesses are DOT approved but i could be wrong. what harness bar did you get?
edit: they really should not get in the way by leaving them in either.

i ono i think it just looks alot cleaner without the factory seat belts flapping on the sides.sure i could leave em there. but i guess its poiintless if i dont have the belt connectors on the racing seats im puttin in. i got nrg harness bar.

If the harnesses are DOT approved they should be fine. but don't throw away / sell your stock seatbelts just in case.

keep them.... personally i kept both in my car. seat belt for daily driving... and harness's when i went to the track

i got rid of my oem belts it looks like junk with the factory belts and harnesses in IMO

i just saw no point to keep the factory ones flapping around and using the harnesses. that why i asked thanx

how much for the nrg harness? i got gsr's so i am thinking i could get away with harnesses without racing seats.

it goes for 160 give or take a few bux. or wait aroudn for a used sparco one 2 come up
