dome light bulb replacement

Hey guys, I was getting into my car the other day and the dome light was dim as f**k. So i went over to pepboys and bought some replacements. Popped one in and it's still just not very bright. Went back to pepboys and that's all they had. So my question is if there is somewhere that I can get some super bright bulbs that will work in my 99 civic lx dome light?????

I have an 04 Civic EX sedan and have been playing with the dome lights, Its a pretty cool/cheap mod that can make the interior look a lot cooler. I have an amber bulb in the middle and LED white bulbs as map lights. At night I can drive with the middle light on(the amber one) and it looks the illumination inside my dad's BMW m5.

The LED bulbs are a good idea.

Don't be tempted by cheap incandescent bulbs with higher wattage. I've had lens covers get melted by those.
