Door Lock Issues

I have a 00 SI and when I push the lock/unlock remote it only sometimes work. The lock switch inside the car does not lock/unlock when I press it. I can lock the car manually with my key. What could be the problem?

i think it is a wiring problem in the door jamb connector, i currently have this problem also. it is very common for the wires to pull out of the connectors in the door causing intermittent connections and also no connections from opening and closing the door.

Thank you, I'll check the wires tomorrow and see if that could be the problem.

Over the weekend, I noticed when I press the switch that's on the door, it would work the first time but not continuously. I would have to wait about every 15 minutes until it worked again.

From what I've heard its the door lock mechanism going out.and or possibly the rods underneath the door panel that flip your door to unlock and lock. take a look and see what you come up with.....
