Door Speaker Problems

Alright, so here's my problem. I bought a pair of Infinity Reference 6000cs for my doors. I got everything installed for the most part; it's a little ghetto, but it sounds good so whatever. Now, here's where I run into trouble... getting the door panel back on!!! I mean, is there something I'm missing? It looks like when you put the panel back in it's supposed to go over the top of the door and slide down some? I'm not sure... should I take pictures to show you what I mean? I'm sure this is a pretty n00bish problem, but I'd rather not pay someone to install them, and I get the whole learning experience out of it. Nonetheless, can someone help me?! Please?! I'm begging! It sucks driving around without a door panel, lol.

I figured it went over the top, but I wasn't sure, mainly because it's not going back down. I'm a little impatient, I'll have to try it again in the morning...

Yup, it goes over then down. Don't force it. That is when you know it isn't lined up right.

the way mine is I had to lift the tail end of the panel and slide the top right (drivers side) back at an angle first and then down. the panel should hang from the top of the window slit. Then carefully push the panel clip/pin back into the door until you hear a pop sound from top of the panel to the bottom. I started from the top left and worked my way around till all the clips popped back in.

then

to wire up speakers to the OEM wires, get a harness or wire it directly to your amp.

i'd have to agree, if your using OEM wiring, harnesses from Metra are your best friend, use a quality wire if your running them off an amp, such as RF or Monster Cable, that will allow for the highest SQ, OEM wires are suffencient for those who want to upgrade factory speakers without going for an all out system. Its a simple DIY, shouldnt take more than 10mins, a few screws, pop the harness in, connect to the speaker, screw it back in.

forgive me for my ignorance... but i bought a pair of pioneer, they came with cabling, and the cable from the speaker to the head unit is already there from honda. is that ok or should i rewire the whole thing with moster cable?
