Door / Trunk Ajar Light...

So in the never ending race to get my car my "high class" with all these neat sensors and what not, I'm doing the door ajar mod - hooray.

Heres the how-to I found, which is great and everything:

BUT, I want that same light to come on if the trunk is ajar too. This would be easy as you could just splice into that same wire (following the howto), but then I thought to myself, we dont have a sensor for the trunk. Ideas?

you can a pinswitch in trunk, no big deal

eh, nevermind its actually a really stupid question. I meant to word it as could you make the trunk light / door light one light basically. But then I thought about it and ill guess ill leave em seperate.

Well, I guess heres a better question. Id really rather keep the black gauge bezel piece instead of mixing the cf one with the si cluster, im picky - i know. I mean, I can check when I get off work, but I might as well make use of this thread. The bezel, the layer underneath that gets illuminated. For instance, the gas light etc. is that built into the bezel or can I swap the layer of illuminesent material?
