So, I just bought a 97 civic hatch and when I got it I knew that the window was out of the track. The kid had it so that you could move the window up/down to a certian point and then from there you had to pull up on the window and even then it doesn't align in the track. Upon taking the door panel off It seems like the car was broken into and the regulator is bent and the channel is broken . I live in upstate NY so having a window that goes up/down needs to happen soon before snow starts. The local Honda dealer said the parts I need new are going to cost something close to 300 bucks. I can get a used door from a junk yard with everything for 200. Only issue is it's an electric window and mine is manual. So that's going to be another 80-100 bucks to switch over. SO basically, Does anyone know where I can find a door cheaper or if there is anything I can do to prevent having to buy a new door/spend 300 bucks to fix the window?
