As most of you know, im redoing my exhaust system on my turbo setup, so heres my question, I have some extra piping left over from the mandrel bends that I bought from jcwhitney, so would I be able to use that to eg. make a testpipe..basically take the pipe and weld flanges on the end..is that kind of piping acceptable to use for exhaust?

is it like stainless steel piping? if so...sure, why not. i made my downpipe out of a couple spare bends i had lying around the garage. cut them and turned them into a 90 degree sharp DOWN pipe....works good for my exhaust release ;)

you dont typically use alum for exhaust, which is what i assume you have if you have mandrel bends (pry for ic piping right?).most exhaust stuff is steel

stainless would prolly be your best bet but can get expensive... i dont think ive heard of anyone with an aluminum DP, maybe if you coated it with something

you know what aluminum does when you burn it ....?

Alzheimer's. go talk to some meth-heads ... see if they remember much after 15 years of smoking out of popcans.
