Driver door will not open -- 1998 Civic

I have a 1998 Civic Sedan.

The driver side door will not open. The outside latch moves but does not open the door. The door does not open from the inside. The door is unlocked.

I took off the inside handle and pulled the bar forward and the door still did not open.

I have all the door panel screws out, but can not get off the door panel because the door is closed. I can not get to the bottom tabs that are still holding the panel on.

What do you suggest?

Lower the window, remove the door handle cover & armrest pocket, then get a solid grip and firmly try to pull up the door panel. The lower clips should pop off if you can pull hard enough. FYI, search the forum as there have coincidentally been about 3 other recent threads started by owners with similar issues.
