Driving Shudder

I have a 98 Civic Dx 5 speed and when i was driving around today the gas pedal got really touchy and i would barely tap the gas an my car would kind of jump. Later on driving it the gas pedal was kind of delayed? An then i was driving 25mph in 3rd gear and let of the gas and my car started shuddering really bad and then i hit the gas and my car spit an kind of put up a fight to go again? I kind of had the same problem before and had to get a new ignition system but that was only 6 months ago and 5000 miles? I feel like it is something else? Any ideas?

Maybe you need new spark plugs and new wires

^^^ Plugs is a good one. Sounds like fuel or possibly timing too. How many miles total? Maybe it's a due an all around tune up. Filters (including fuel), plugs, fluids... Any check engine lights?

I've had a similar problem with my 98' SI too.The entire car feels as if it jumps and hesitates when i accelerate from about 2k in 2nd or 3rd. I Changed my plugs and it defiantly got a lot less noticeable. Anyone else have something similar/ any solutions?

its got 161,000 miles on it , the thing is i have had 3 sets of new ngk spark plugs put in in the past year and i just got new spark plug wires when i got a new distributor, i tore it apart and cleaned the throttle body an such and now when i start it the rpm goes up to 3k then down to 500 then up to 1500k then down and back an forth and wont stop?
