DVD Player Question

I have one, it has a safety wire that suppose to run to the E-Brake so you can't watch while your driving, what could I run that wire to so I will let me watch whenever, Someone told me constant power is that the red or yellow wire, from the deck. Right now I have it running off the red wire on the cigirratte lighter, works well during the day but when I turn my lights on, it acts as if the ebrake was down and won't ket me watch, says driver shouldn't drive and watch, understandable but how can I get pass this

Ground the wire.

which player did you get? alpine, pioneer, ebay? usually grounding that wire will work like previously mentioned, but some alpines are a little trickier, as well as the avicn2 from pioneer.

JVC AV 7010 is what I have

ive never heard of anything special with that unit so i would do as previously mentioned and ground the ebrake wire, should be green or brown but your manual will tell you for sure.
