Dx Door Panels.! Any INFO Please?

Door Panels?

Yo.....

I have set off OEM civic Dx door panels That I painted with a Autozone Rattle can paint. (BLACK) i did not use a primer- so it chipped in some spots & had lttle fuzzy's from my girlfriends shirt an etc..... I stare to peal some of the paint of and it gave it that dye look...They turned charcoal grey. well one did. the other i did not start...I did not touch the rest of my interior...

I wanna go back as close as i can to the OEMgrey...! Could i wet sand and prime and paint proporly?
Or whats the best method for me to clean them up....with out spending 100 on new panels...

pics would help, if its plastic then its probably dyed, you might be able to use rubbing alcohol to take the paint off. other then that, maybe some duplicolor interior paint. might work. not sure though.

Needed to use adhesion promoter. Paint won't stick otherwise and you end up with it peeling.

If you can't get the dye out, you are going to have to repaint. Do it right the second time around and you shouldn't have the peeling problem. 80% of a good paint job is in the prep work.

sanding will ruin the OEM finish of the door panels so if you cant get the paint off then your are going to have to get new door panels

Wuld the rubbing alchohol work?
