yes yes yes. No bad effect other then adding a little more weight. Take a piece of dynomat on a bell and try to ring it, the sound will be dead. Good stuff. Car wont sound like a panel shaker on the outside.

fat mat is not the same...it is cheaper, true, and you get less product too

dynmat will help you out. for installation ease, go ahead and get the dynamat xtreme...goes on a LOT easier than reg dynamat...

Yes it works, there are cheaper versions that are okay but Dynamat Xtreme is the best quality

I dynomatted my trunk and put some on the back of my liscense plate and that's about it, sounds a hell of a lot better than it did before. at least on the inside. still hear a little rattle from the trunk. I got rattle in the front of the car and around the visors and rear view, so i'm gonna work on that some time.

My brother used that adhesive layer that you put on roofs before the shingles (don't know what exactly its called)...its basically the same material as dynamat...cheaper & you can pick it up at your local hardware store...its not what I would recommend if you are looking for the best quality, but it does make a pretty good difference, or at least WE noticed a significant difference.

I just did dynamat on my doors and it made a huge difference with road noise. I got rid of my subs and got some alpine 6 1/2's and 6x9's and they also sound a lot better with the dynamat xtreme. Definitely my reccomendation.

I've heard good things about brown bread, but I've never used it, and never known anyone who had it in their car.

I have dynamat extreme. It helped the trunk a lot.. keep the sound in... but my doors aren't done and they still rattle to s**t. Huge difference though. =)

The only thing I'm concerned with about that adhesive roofing stuff is that it will smell of tar when the car gets hot.

I just used regular Dynamat. I really don't see how the layer of aluminum foil makes Dynamat Xtreme any easier to use

easier to apply. peel and stick. ;) we get major discounts on dynamat so I might as well get extreme. =)

I don't know how hot your car would get, but haven't experienced any problems yet.

I'm not too sure...we just used some that we had lying around from when we did our house, but I'll look into it and post up.
