ok guys heres the dyno results for my B20VTEC. the only mods on it right now are: intake, B&M FPR, A'PEXi VAFC 2 controller, and MSD spark plug wires. the Dyno results in blue are after the installation of the FPR and we cranked up the pressure as best we could. the dyno results in red are after installing and tuning the VAFC controller. notice the nice smoooth vtec changeover with the VAFC. note that the motor is STILL running lean. the loss in HP over the previous dyno run is due to higher temperatures, both external and internal. so to sum up, SHE NEEDS A FUEL PUMP CAPTAIN! but 160whp aint too bad, im lovin the torque!

your new dyno looks like you just eliminated vtec, lol....but it shows how much more hp you are gaining throughout the whole gear, nice numbers

this is just the beginning of my b20vtec. im not looking for 230hp but 200-210 would be quite nice. it still needs exhaust, headers, fuel rail, fuel pump, and injectors just to start. that should put me in the 180-190 range.

yeah, that foO is hittin 11's but always rebuilding it

210 would be nice :D you can probably get some more power if you have a custom made header like the b20 pic in my previous post. It'll cost a arm and a leg tho :( Those are some nice numbers tho :thumbs up see, aren't you glad you went b20vtec instead of a b16 or something :D

those numbers seem low IMO for a b20/vtec. the torque is up there, but the hp is low. b20/vtec crex around here runnin stock everything from honda put 175 at the wheels. what are you using for tuning, just a hack?

btw, i think u need to retune when ur vtec kicks in

hmm...pretty much almost like mine...i hit 174 whp with 148 ft/lbs tq. i also have the b20z2 block. can you hit 250 whp to 300 whp with b20vtec all motor?

yea, your running so lean i wouldnt even put it on the dyno or go above 4500 rpm, cause it gets hella lean above that, 12.7 is perfect for a n/a motor and yours is like 14.2 under full load, you gotta be pushing out some serious heat there, get a fuel pump asap, then come back with another dyno for us, i bet u can get atleast 7whp out of a 12.7 afr.

Get some more fuel in the engine before you ruin it. OE pistons can handle thermal expansion pretty well but sooner or later they will expand, scuff the cylinder wall, and then its all downhill from there.

Yes a local guy here is running a b20/vtec and is making 242 hp with a built bottom end and stock cams. He's thinking 270ish with the cams. John
