E-brake question?

So i was drivin about 20mph in dirt and thought id yank my ebrake like a 14 year old, and nothing happened. I didnt touch the brake pedal just left off gas and pulled.Ive noticed when i engage it to park sometimes the car will roll and i have to pull it again and make sure its set. My braking is totally normal when driving, havent noticed anything wierd so just thought somethin might need checkin.

is the cable tight?
my friends civic had a loose cable and had the same symptons. Gotit tightened and we were back to fishtailing down snowy roads in no time.

How many clicks of the P-brake before the handle won't go any higher?

its a 95 dx. when i pull it to park, it really doesnt have stages that click. it seems to me that it has to click twice or be in the second stage to set when parking, cus like ive said, ive pulled it not hard enough and had it roll. when i pulled it when i was driving the ebrake felt the same as when i park except for the stopping part.lol.

Sounds like it needs to be tightened a lot to me. I think I've read they should be tightened so it can stop the car by 6 or 7 clicks.
