Early Birthday Present

..So, my wonderful fiance got me a rear lip for an early birthday present..! She couldnt wait for me to get it so she even had it shipped to my school.....yup, she's amazing!! I picked it up yesterday evening and didn't get a chance to put it on till about midnight. So I went out and put it on. Took me about 2 hours and had some fitment problems. I knew that it still had to be fitted better so I had some time this afternoon to tinker with it.

I've put together some before and after shots...fitment is a whole lot better IMO, any tips would be great..! Thanks.

BEFORE:

For the most part it fit well. The passenger side was flush with the rear wheel well but this is what the driver side looked like:

So, what lies there is the problem.

what I did was take my bumper off this time and tried to mount the lip:

Looked through a couple writeups on CC and on H-T, added some supports for the middle and fooled around with it a lil more and got it to fit better.

AFTER:

I'm not going to keep it black. It will be painted this spring.

Thanks for the replies...! Sorry I havent been on much to answer PM's or IIM's....a buddy of mine crashed my laptop so its in for repairs at the moment...hopefully i'll have it back soon...but, if not..then im gonna have a g4 15" that im picking up sunday afternoon, just so that i can use it for my studies n whatn0t till wednesday...so i'll be online then. hopefully my laptop will be able to be fixed. I'm definitly gonna get it painted....my fiance thought that it would look better painted as well.

I'm gonna like it just cuz its a 4dr but im definitely gonna agree with once its painted itll look NICE and CLEAN for sure!! How much neway for the front and the rear? as you saw today im just startin out on my civic but i can imagine those painted on my civic and they would look nice i think.. what do you think?

You can get a front and rear lip kit on eBay for around 100 these days...not a bad deal for both lips. You can check ou my other threads so that you can see what the front of my car looks like....hopefully a new shoot will be coming this week....i've just been mad busy with school and whatnot...its hard to find the time to take a few sh0ts.

hopefully that'll be able to happen. gonna see if i can get them painted this weekend.

im still not 100% happy with the fitment so I think im gonna fool around with it more when im home for easter.
