What is a good cost effective chip?

i found this one for $220, claims up to 40 in hp/tq gains. does anyone know if this is a good chip? or have suggestions on better chips?

My car is a 97 EX coupe vtec 5 speed manual 50,xxx on engine

i got a sst chip that you can burn... i have a type r tune on it.. my single v well rev up to 8500 if i want to but pulls hard for a single and u can actually hear the vtec crack

This is a cheap gimmick with a light on it to make you think you've gained some power. Save some money and get your car dyno tuned by a reputable shop. That'll free up some horses, but likely sacrifice some gas mileage.
