Ecu issue. Who doesn't have/had one?

I recently bought a 95 ex coupe with a b16a motor. I have questions about if my ecu is chipped? And if it is what are the chips for exactly? The identifying marks on ecu housing have been removed and the sticker on the connectors has been peeled away. From looking online it's an obd 1. And ofcoarse I can't upload a photo. The case says "chipped for b16a" "chipped for b20b". This car is really a Frankenstein car. 2nd gen b16a motor( which I think is jdm) cuz it doesn't have a numerical number after the "A". Boost gauge oil pressure gauge. Aem fuel rail. Walbro fuel pump. An oil return line to the oil pan. Gets me thinking a turbo was on it???

It was likely boosted before with all of that on there. Somewhere along the bottom of the ECU housing will be a stamp to identify what ECU it is (P72 etc.). Find that, and you'll be on your way.

Hmm. Maybe some don't, but I recall seeing them on most. If there's nothing on there, I don't know of any other way to identify the ECU.

What "chips" do what to the car anyway? That 28 pin part has a chip there up on a bridge type thing and has "sst" on it. And it has a lil lever on the chip

Hey crash, how did you post pics of your car on your "slow build thread"? Just copy paste or did you have to use that imageshack thing?
