Ecu Problem (No Vtec)

Okay so i pickt my self up a eg the other day and it has a b16a2 in it! but the guy didnt know to much about the car cuz it was his sons. so i brought it home and ya no vtec as th engine light was on when i got it. i lookt under the hood and seen the presure switch was brokin. so i put a new one on and still nothing!! the car came with a p08 ecu wich i have heard is not a vtec ecu but the car also came with a p30 ecu wich i put in today and still nothing!!! i am sooo lost with whats wrong??????

I am not to good with wiring or reading codes really. but when i turn the key to the on position the check engine light gose on for a second and then shuts off and then i start the car and it fires up buit then ya the engne lgith comes on for good! no flashing or anything!...few ppl said it might be the knock sensor too??



Any help would be awsome as i would love to hear and feel how this car will go

There is a 2-pin blue plug under the passenger side dash. It is stored in a little green rubber piece.
This is the service connector. Jump it with a piece of wire or a paper clip and it will tell you what code you are throwing by blinking the check engine light.

Also the P08 ecu is a vtec ecu. It is from a JDM D15 vtec motor.

not enough oil pressure will also cause vtec not to engage
