ecu question

is there a way to tell if the ecu is for a manual or auto trans? ive looked up the car my new ecu came out of and the only thing i can find about it is it came out of a 99-00 NZ civic sohc vtec. the ecu code is P2M. what does the NZ stand for? any help will be great. my car aint idlin worth a damn with my setup with the stock y7 ecu

this link shows that the 'B' section is for auto. trans. it should be blank with no pins if its a manual. hope this helps

k thanx..... just changed the "a" to a "b"..........does anybody know what the whole civic NZ means. the ecu codes read as follows:

P2N : 96+ OBD-2 Civic HX Coupe
P2P : 96+ OBD-2 Civic EX Coupe
P2E : 96+ OBD-2 Civic DX Coupe
**P2M : 96+ OBD-2 NZ Civic SOHC VTEC **
P2T : 99+ OBD-? Civic Si Coupe

does that just mean its for the d16y8 or what, cuz i thought all of the EX's had the y8?
