ecu replacement question

i bought a used ecu off amazon andim gonna plug it in myself cause im tired of waiting for someone to do it. i have read that its a plug and play part so do i need to reprogram it at all? im thinking not but i might be wrong so any help would help

Really depends on what you have and what you bought. For example, the ECUs are set up differently for automatic vs manual transmissions, or vtec vs non-vtec. And this isn't even getting into OBD0/1/2a/2b differences...

its an automatic i know i have the right one cause i made sure all the numbers matched b4 i bought it

If it's the same part, then it should be pretty much plug and play.

So long as it's a matching ECU, you just plug and play. Just make sure you disconnect the battery before your remove the old ECU.
