ok so i'm just about the last leg of my CR-VTEC research and now i need to know what ECU and the wiring. so far nothing has really come up on what to do. a friend of mine said that it will basically connect to my firewall harness which is a D series type. Is this true or will i have to go under the dash and rewire that whole harness or can i get some adapter to plug the B series engine harness to the D series firewall? also what ecu should i use, could a p72 or p28 work? i'm just gonna drop the B20b into the car for now and do the mini me swap on it later.

thanks for any info guys.

If you have a 92-95 basically any OBD1 ecu will plug into it and run it without a conversion harness.

You might have to add some wires later for vtec when you put the head on. But without it, it should plug in and work ok.

And I would recommend getting a chipped P28 ecu. And get it setup to run the motor that is in your car initially to get it running. Then once you do the head swap, take it to a tuner near you and get it tuned for the B20 vtec setup.

would an OBD1 LS engine harness work? i'm going with the 98 B20b which is gonna go into my EG 4dr. would the b20 harness actually just match up to my firewall?

Just use the OBD1 LS harness on the B20B.. or you can modify your stock D-series harness to work as well.
