get an extension on your ratchet and give it hell. That's really the only way to get them off unless you have an air ratchet.

i snapped em both today with a simple 3/8's socket, maybe 8 inches long. 14mm bolts too. get some muscles, snap the f**kers, and get new ones, and slather on the lube when putting the new nuts on.

like 3 inches should be fine, if not 2. doesnt really matter, as long as its long enough. just break the bolts, and then measure them.

Someone told me in these forums to use this method (I never tried it though):

Take a torch and heat up the bolt for like 30-60 seconds. Then put the ratchet on before it cools and bang the ratched with a mallet. He said it works everytime.

I'm assume what's happening is that the heat causes the metal bolt to expand, thus breaking the rusted "seal". I don't think it'd work heating the flange because theres too much continuous metal which cools itself off, but the bolt is pretty small. If it's rusted through, then that a little insulator.

Well, next time u tighten up your exhaust bolt, apply Anti-seize on them first to prevent them from locking up in the future. They're stuck basically from rust and heat warp.
