I assume you have an automatic, otherwize you wouldnt have mentioned taking off in first gear which is common sense. You havent given enough information aside from you hearing a pop. What year and engine do you have? D15 is vague. How was the distributor damaged? Do you have any check engine codes? Are you sure the distributor was reinstalled correctly?

Im also changing your title to something help as "Hi new here with a problem" is way too vague and say nothing useful to attract the advice you need. Write short yet detailed titles in the future.

I hope you're joking lol. I'm going to assume he has a manual because "first" doesn't exist in an automatic..

Anywho, @Ricardo34gtr, like HeX said, do you have a check engine light on? Are the plug wires in the correct order to the distributor? We definitely need more info... a picture of your car doesn't help us troubleshoot

Its been so long since Ive driven an automatic Honda that I asdumed they had a low gear (L) like many other cars do which is a first gear.

X is right. Its possible you didnt reinstall the spark wires in the correct firing order.

In that babbling run on sentence you said you didn't blow the engine, but then you clearly say you don't know if you blew the engine. How about you explain what happened after you heard that sound? Was it still running and now it won't start after you shut it off or did it die soon after the noise? Did you rev the piss out of it and miss-shift? Have you checked timing, compression, fuel?

Update: found the problem I had lost the timing after the distributor broke or blew out back in timing now she's back to purring like a kitten
