EJ1 powersteering

So my EJ1 has the power steering delete and I'm wanting to reinstall it to raise it's value a little bit before I sell or trade it.

What all would I need to install it and how much would the parts be?

You'll need a power steering rack, a pump, reservoir, and the high pressure line that runs from the pump to the rack.
You said it had a P/S delete...meaning the car originally had P/S? If so, the rack SHOULD be a power rack...all you'd need is the pump/line/belt for it.

Yeah I went and got it looked at at Meineke, they said it was an 1100 dollar job, cause I would need a new Rack and pinion too.

Not worth it for a car I'm not going to have within a year.

About half that is their labor. If you want it cheap then you'll have to get the parts at a junk yard and do it yourself

If it had power steering and was deleted, then you shouldn't need a new rack and pinion, I don't get that. If you have an EJ1, it's likely an EX? So it should have HAD power steering, so the rack should be good unless someone changed that out as well.

If your rack is good, just get a pump, reservoir, the line and belt and bolt it up. It's not horribly difficult to do. If you have to swap out the whole rack and everything, you'd be look at a tougher job, but it's still doable.

Otherwise, say f**k it and let the next guy deal with it.

The correct way to delete power steering is to get a rack from a non-power steering one. The ghetto/lazy way is to loop the lines.

I would just leave it to be honest. Too much of a pain in the ass at this point.
