ej1 spring chop?

i have a 95 ej1 dropped 2" front and rear on blox springs and tokico blues (blox lca's and buddyclub front&rear camber kit).

im saving up for coilovers but in the meantime i want to lower my front end just a bit more. i want to chop a little off the front springs, and some people are tellin me it'll f**k the ride up. others say it wouldnt be bad at all and may even improve the ride...?

Do not cut springs. Just wait until you have the money to afford what you want.

the people who tell you it will improve the ride or not mess it up that bad do not understand suspension geometry, and do not know what the f**k they are talking about.. you should honestly not listen to any advice they provide you..

with that said.. you are dropped 2inches.. why would you want to go further and ruin your suspension.. suspension needs travel (up and down) to work properly... removing that travel and limiting the shocks ability to move will increase the wear on the suspension.. cause a bumpier ride.. potentially cause the car to hit the bump stops putting more strain on other components.. and so on..

contrary to popular trends... standard normal every day cars are not meant to be 1/2 in off the ground..

A 2 inch drop with the proper suspension combination should net a nicely performing suspension while still retaining a decent amount of driveability..
