EJ9 from Ireland-New Pics Page 2

Well, been on this a while checking up on things across the pond and said I'd throw up a few pics of the new car. It's a 2000 EJ9, D14A4 hatch with 80k miles. About all I can afford to insure due to the retarded nature of Irish insurance:hithead:

Anyways, here it is

Picked this it up about 3 weeks looking like this:

Couple of small marks that need tidying but pretty clean in general. This is the worst of them:

Threw on a Mugen replica gear knob

Then came the rims and a good wash followed by a few pics

Plans are:
- Fix dent in boot
- 50mm front, 40mm rear drop (hopefully next month when college exams are done)
- Jap plates
- Tilt spoiler (done, not in the pics yet)
- CTR grille
- Colour coding (down the line)
- Paint fogs yellow

Going to just be a few bits going on as money is not great at the minute. Would love to do a CTR conversion some stage down the line but way to much to learn before I take something like that on!

Cheers man. Ya, there's no point making out that I'm going to try pull 350hp or whatever from a D14:lol: Going to be pretty low key for the next while anyways. I'm excited about getting stuck in anyways so that will keep me going!

Savage build you've got going there! The car looks unreal. You got rid of the polished slips did you? They looked unbelievably clean!

Thanks, yeah I wanted something a bit different. It seems everyone has some sort of slips/regamasters. I cant wait to see what you do next.

i see u got another ej9, what happened the silver one? this one looks better
Ya I sold on the other one. Tidied up the rust issue underneath and waxoyled it so that's treated now. Sold it at a bit of a profit so went for a facelift this time:lol: Have a bit of a leak to get sorted at the end of the week now. Carpets are soaked so I'm sick of looking at them...

^^ Got 1650, bought it for 1300 and got new tyres and then there were general maintanence parts as well. Made about 150 profit which was alright! Good experience anways. The grey is a bit drab alright. The facelift I'ce now seems to be a blacker dash...much prefer it!

Finally got some updates =) Got the springs in so it's not a dune buggy anymore.Lowered it 50mm front and 40mm rear which is plenty given our awful roads. Got a CTR rep grille then and picked up some jap plates a couple of days ago as well. Here's the result anyways

Not going to bother with shocks man. Will wait until down the line to get coilovers but for the moment I'll just run on springs. Not sure whether I'm going to colour match stuff fully yet. It'd have to be the summer anyways for any painting to be done because with college and weather there's not chance to do it. Might end up going for carbon spoon mirrors and maybe a carbon spoon spoiler at some stage. Thinking about either changing the rims or repainting them too. Have to wait and see=)

Engine pix please.
Ok if you really want them=) I'll get some pics in the next couple of days. It's a completely standard D14A4 motor, no frills and filthy bay in general:( It'll be the summer before I get it a proper clean under there. The weather at the moment defeats the purpose.

Your engine pic sir =) Nothing special at all, just a standard 90hp D14A4. Might look at spraying the rocker cover during the summer at some stage

No updates this time, just some fresh pictures! Got a good evening so washed the car and headed down to my "spot" for a few snaps. Anyways, here they are. Might try some edits on these at some stage soon

Hopefully next on the list will be a new exhaust to replace the current rusted one. Been looking at Spoon N1 rep exhausts so we'll see how that goes down when the funds settle...Only thing that's putting me off is I heard they are VERY loud! Last thing I'll be wanting is hastle from the cops! Are they as loud as people make out? Not looking to be getting in trouble over it the whole time...
